Howdy.

This is my first post on my new blog. Yay so cool. Does this mean that because I’m starting a blog that I find interesting? Maybe. But am I going talk about stuff that I’m interested in and/or rant about stuff (and what my teacher makes me put in here…sigh…)?  Of course.

While I’m here why don’t I tell a little about myself. The name Leo Burrito, comes from the nickname that my sister gave me. Some of my interests include: painting, drawing, drinking energy drinks, and taking naps. I may write a lot about sad things, but I’m a very happy person.

I suppose we’ll talk later.  Adios.

Till Death Do Us Part

It was a spring evening. The clouds were in the sky blocking the light of the moon as Eron made dinner for him and his wife, Athena. The sizzling of the bacon filled the whole house up with a warm comforting smell.

“Breakfast for dinner, he thought, Athena’s favorite”

He flipped the pancakes over and looked at his wife laying on the couch. He admired the way her brown wavy hair was always halfway in her face no matter how she moved it.He looked down at her feet.   Her toes were painted gold.Same as her hands. They hadn’t been touched up in weeks.Old mascara stained her cheeks. He frowned at that.

“You know maybe you should go wash up. I’m making your favorite.”

She didn’t move from her spot on the couch. Eron rolled his eyes. She was so stubborn.

“Fine if you don’t want to wash up then you don’t need to eat.” Eron said laughing. “But, you should at least come to the table.”

They both sat at the table with the steaming pancakes, bacon, and hashbrowns in front of them, filling their noses with wonderful smells. Athena sat there looking down at her blue flowy sundress that Eron had bought her.

“Aren’t you going to eat babe?” Eron said, kicking her under the table.

She flinched at that, but continued to stare at her dress.

“Not hungry? That’s okay we had a big lunch. Didn’t we?”

Still, she said nothing. She just stared until Eron came and dragged her to bed.

“God you’re so beautiful. Do you know that?”

She stared like she was looking for the lie in his big green eyes. But, there wasn’t one. They looked into each other’s eyes for awhile until Eron kissed Athena on the head, and went to sleep.

Eron woke to Athena’s cat Jules, staring blankly at him.

“What? You rodent.” He snarled crawling out of bed.

Jules was a fluffy white shelter cat with mats galore.Athena usually would comb them out but recently she left her untouched.Jules never liked Eron. I suppose it was maybe because he got more attention from Athena than her.

“Athena if you don’t do something about that stupid mangy cat I’m gonna sell him to a Chinese restaurant.” Eron practically yelled.

Athena still lay in bed not moving. “Whatever.”He muttered hissing at the cat as he passed by.

Eron sleepily made his way down the creaky wooden stairs, pausing every few seconds or so to listen to the sounds outside. He walked into his lonely living room,a closed off area that had a door to the kitchen. It was dark and dreary, and even the photos of smiling faces on the wall couldn’t make it any brighter. He sat down in his expensive new recliner that Athena nagged at him not to buy and breathed in the cold air.

“She doesn’t deserve you Eron.” Eron whispered to himself. “You do everything for her. Cook for her. Love her. Buy her stuff. Let her keep that mangy cat. Nothing in return.”

Eron put his head in his hands and sat there for a few minutes just thinking to himself. He then sat up and paced across the room peering at the pictures on the wall. He looked over at the far wall where his wedding pictures were. He was wearing a cheap suit from Men’s Warehouse, but Athena was dressed in a fluffy gold gown built for a princess. The dress that easily cost half the wedding budget. She looked beautiful. He looked over at another picture with Athena and her best friend Alex. Alex had walked her down the alley since her dad had died several weeks earlier. Eron had been there for her, but Alex always seemed closer.

“Alex.” Eron whispered. “Alex.”As he said his name images popped up in his head.“Son of a-”

Before he even realised it ,he was running up those creaky stairs back to his bedroom where Athena lay still on the bed. He pounced on her screaming words that could only be interpreted by another mad man like him. He slapped her pale face feeling the cold on his hand with every stroke.

“Why would you do it?! Why?!” He yelled, still hitting her.

“If I would have known you were such a tramp, I would have killed you sooner,” He screamed.

And at that final sentence he began sulking. He looked down at his dead rotting wife and fell down onto her still sulking. He moved his hand to her waist where the old blood still stained her blue sundress. He breathed in the smell of rot.

“I love you,” he said crying “I love you.”

And with a sniffle he asked “What do you want for breakfast?”
